Again (Five Minute Friday)

Lisa-Jo hosts a blogging party–where we all write for 5 minutes without editing.

Go:

Please read it again Mommy.  Again?  Again?  I sit and read, over and over.

My husband comes home and knows the day I had by the stack of books on the floor.

I miss those easy days of sitting and reading the same book over and over.  I miss lining all the books up to make a road for Tonka Man and Tonka trucks.

Middle School is not as much fun.  Basketball games, Soccer games, never ending homework . . .

I just want to sit with him AGAIN and spend the afternoon looking at a Richard Scarry book and loving each moment.

It’s different now–each day is an “again” and I feel blessed.

Stop.

    Hi Renee
After this comes the time when they leave for university or work and then the time spent at the soccer fields, endless homework projects and all the other things seems like a dream! I hear your heart, dear One!
    Much love x

      Mia,
I’ve done the math–by the time I’m finished helping with homework I will be . . . wise with age!

With each passing milestone, I try to embrace the new, but it is hard–I so enjoy where I am . . .

Be Blessed and thank you for your love.

Renee, I’m not a mom, but a daughter who enjoyed the reading again and again with my own mom. Sometimes I miss being the little one, with nothing much to do but spend time with books and family. Reminds me to cherish the moment.

he also knows the day I’ve had by how the counters look–if they are covered in the mornings dishes he just begins helping–knowing that life gets busy.

      Be Blessed.

Came here through 5 minute Friday and I think I’m appreciating my almost-three-year-old more :) I have the trucks and the trains all lined up and the Richad Scarry (where’s goldbug?) all stacked up.

Ahh yes… I miss those days as well! I am more near the season that Mia refers to… my little one – not so little – and looking at college life in the Fall! With each season comes opportunities to do things Again and Again with and for them… and all the while – we are sowing into them and they will remember… again and again! Loved this!
