On Friday’s I like to participate in a “free writing” activity. It is called Five Minute Friday and a bunch of us write for five minutes with no editing (I spell check–otherwise it would not be readable:-) Come join some other bloggers to see what they are writing about

Cherished
My word for 2013 is Intention. I am going to strive to make each thing I do come alive with purpose and intention. This is a project that was born not on 1/1/13 but rather back in Novermber when I did an accidental 31-days series on “being honest.”
As I wrote and poured my heart out, I realized that I cherished all of the wrong things. I spent a lifetime collecting things and when I didn’t feel cherished I ate my way to a place that made me feel better.
I realized that I hadn’t let myself feel cherished. I hadn’t let myself be loved. Just because I’m me–I had to prove my worth to be cherished. But that is a lie–I’m loved. It starts with God and then the true friends that he has put in my life . . . . I’ve missed it. I was confused.
The most important things we cherish can’t be collected, broken or . . .
The most important things are the blessings from God. To be blessed and to be a blessing.
STOP
Thanks you Lisa-Jo.

Love it! Visiting from Jo’s place. Nice to “meet” you.
Nice to meet you too! I’m going over to girl grows up, right NOW!
Be Blessed.
I love this… I love your word and the revelation you have had that the most important things – the things to be cherished are really not ‘things’ at all!
Amen, amen.
Denise–I’ve missed you!
Be Blessed my friend–whenever I see your praying avatar I send one up just for you;-)
