CONFESSION: I HATE STICKINESS!!
I don’t like juice boxes, pouches, cans, bottles or the worse is a cup with a straw! I don’t like them in my house. I don’t like them in my car. I don’t like them Sam I am! (whoa! just felt a little Suess-y)
Our family often takes day trips mostly for travel soccer or when we have multiple games on one day . . . 6 people + a hot sunny day = lots of water! So this is what I do. (
- freeze individual water bottles
- put them in my travel water container (I bought this one at Whole Foods in Ann Arbor, MI)
- put the frozen water bottles in the bigger jug
- fill with water!
- Voila! Ice cold water for the entire day.
Be Blesses as you enjoy your summer with the ones you love!
Linking up with my friends that I admire and appreciate!
Terrific tip. Literally a cool idea. Do you use the chilled water in cooler to (re)fill cups or bottles that you bring along as well?
Yay for hydration minus the stickiness. Way to go, innovative traveling soccer mom! :)
Shannon! Thanks for your comments–The big jug has a . . . on/off flip up thingy! So we do use this to fill our water bottles that are ALWAYS with us–I’ll post on those in a few days :-). When the water bottles inside thaw I do fill them with those individual packets of flavored powder or Starbucks iced coffee packets! yum!
Be Blessed.
Cool, Renee. Good water system. I’m guessing your family appreciates their special drink at the end of a long soccer day. :)
Great idea, I would never have thought of that.
