This weeks lunch box L.O.V.E. Notes!
This is the second week of school and . . . let’s just say it has been an adjustment. My #3 kid is having a more difficult time. You see, when I homeschool, I teach in a completely different way than Common Core Standards. I refuse to teach in a way that lets me check a box in celebration that my kid understands a subject. I’m not a box checker.
I am proud to “Draw Outside the Lines”
My philosophy on life, love, teaching is all the same–everything is interconnected. Everything! My teaching style could best be described as Inquiry Based Learning. When we look at the whole picture and try to understand the problems, solutions and all the glitches involved–we become part of the solution. Rather than looking at an issue at arms length we stand knee deep within the problem forcing ourselves to figure out the most gentle way to get out. We rely on compassion rather than force. We rely on kindness versus being a bully. We rely on honesty versus slyness. To help facilitate this in our kids we can assure them that these traits are superior.
This week I have supported my kids with reminders from the movie “The Help”. Remember the scene, You is smart. You is funny. You is important. I used that this week! All in one not but you could use it over three days :-)
- Good Luck on your spelling test! (I can’t spell–it’s true! I’m horrible at spelling. For this note I spelled “spelling” and “test” incorrectly as a inside joke.
- You are enough!
- I am loved.
- I am a good listener.
- I have a surprise waiting for you when you come home!
Come Back Each Week!
I will post 5 new love notes each week! AND a little bit of conscious parenting ideas!

Need Help packing lunches?
No worries–I am going to post the lunches that I make on Instagram and create a Periscope video (@reneebaude)! I will also have a weekly round up of the lunches here on the website! My goal is to help moms create healthy lunches THAT KIDS WILL EAT! It won’t take long and it isn’t expensive! I promise.
Be Blessed as you eat and live with L.O.V.E.!
I missed you, Renee!
Nice hearing all your news and commitments, your inspirational ideas on food and LOVE notes!
Always inventive and unstoppable!
You are amazing!
It’s funny that I have spent these last two days writing notes that I will be sending to my grandchildren, especially Kirka’s brother who will be studying in a London University. I have enough to send one every week for a least a couple of months.
Have a wonderful fall, great school year, and many other blessings!
Love and joy,
Katina
