Grasp or Gasp (Five Minute Friday)

Go:  I can’t get my head around it.  I can’t grasp the depth of the situation.

One minute a women is going about her life and within a week’s hospital stay she is gone.

I can’t grasp what it must be like for the husband . . . to wake up alone.

I can’t grasp what it must be like for the kids. . . not to get tucked in.

I can’t grasp what it must be like for the parents. . .

I get that people die, but sometimes it just doesn’t seem right.  If feels off, out of balance, a strange shift . . . messy.

I’ve written about this all week long and I still can’t grasp, or hold on to, or understand the why. . .

STOP.

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

I just read Dear Chris and I’m so sorry for your loss. I don’t know that we ever get the “why” answered but I do know that you can find peace in Him. I’ll be praying for the One who comforts to bring you comfort and to bring healing for your family.

      Melinda,
It is because of you and your courage that I am able to tell my stories–you and only you! Without your example of honesty and your open arms, I would not be where I am now.

Be Blessed as you have blessed me.
