Yesterday was a hugely busy day.
After it was all said and done, kids washed, teeth brushed, dishwasher running, washer and dryer going, middle school homework started . . . I stood standing at my husband saying “it is hot in here or is it just me?”
His reply, “again? how many days does a hot flash last?” and at his suggestion I took my temp and sure enough I had a fever! All this time I was hot and cranky . . . feeling guilty for not being joyful. So with the diagnosis of sickness. I went to bed.
I woke up at 5 and began cooking–I’m writing a cookbook. A breakfast cookbook. It requires that I get up early and actually make the food that I’ll be writing about . . . this morning was pumpkin muffins, an absolute success!
I’m taking Tylenol to keep the fever at bay . . . I felt pretty good until . . . the whole room became very warm.
I think it should be a rule: a hot flash or a fever, but not both! FYI: Tylenol does NOT stop a hot flash.
Be blessed.
No kidding!
Laura,
I’m having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave! That was a song in Menopause–the Musical! Hysterical.
Be Blessed.
First off, I’m sorry you are I’ll. But that said, you crack me up!
glad I could offer you joy!
be blessed.
