Unscripted. Unedited. Real. Writing for 5 minutes prompted my a single word from Lisa-Jo. I encourage you to read what “one word” can mean to so many different writers.
Go:
I encourage my kids to :
- just jump! especially when you have safe arms to catch you
- just jump! especially when you have a life jacket on
- just jump! especially when you know how deep the water is
- just jump! especially when you know it will feel like flying
- just jump! especially when few others are doing it.
I need to encourage myself to:
- just jump! even when I do not have arms to catch me
- just jump! even when I do not have a life jacket
- just jump! even when I do not know how deep and far the water goes
- just jump! even when I feel afraid of flying
- just jump! even when I am alone!
I’m still working on my big jump! In the meanwhile, I’ll be happy with my bunny hops.
Be Blessed as you are prepared for your leap of faith to jump!
Amazing post.
Denise,
Such an honor to have to stop by. You are my angel.
Be Blessed.
I can so relate to “bunny hops”. You expressed my own heart perfectly. Blessings!
Barbie–just one step at a time!
Be Blessed.
i just love the photos of your kids jumping – and that you encourage them to be unafraid of some risk.
great post!
Richelle,
It is ALL one kid–I have a rebel daredevil–I wrote a post about it titled “mini me”. I’m hoping if I can channel her energy . . . it will all work out! But yes, I do encourage my kids to at least entertain the possibilities that await them . . .
Be Blessed.
Wow, those are great pictures, Renee! You have me wanting to jump over to Five Minute Friday. Thanks! :-)
Anastasia,
Come on over! It’s just five minutes! (said the woman who wrote her post at 1 am)
Be Blessed.
Love love this! Great pics and I’m good at doing the bunny hop — but I’m craving a real big JUMP!!! Always great to be here.
Alene,
So nice to have you here! I need a push! Maybe next week the word will be push and I will invite all my bloggy friends to tell me it’s ok to go for something that I think I can’t possibly do!
Maybe I need a shove :-)
Be Blessed.
Happy with the bunny hops. Haha! Great post. Great photos! Happy FMF!
Michelle,
Thanks–I’m not sure how I have a camera ready–the one in WI was taken on my iPhone . . .
Happy FMF!
Be Blessed.
Dear Renee
Even when we have none of the things you have listed, we always have our Lord just waiting to catch us when we jump into His arms! Trusting Him at times is just such a jump into the unknown, but oh, so worth it.
Much love
Mia
Mia,
I’m counting on him catching me!
Be Blessed.
YES. Love it. Blessings, sweet friend…as you bunny hop or jump or leap with your arms outstretched. He’s got you!
Bunny hops or big leaps — yay for forward motion! I’m amazed by the number of times the words of encouragement I tell my kiddo is so close to something I need to hear myself.
Krista,
I should just record myself talking to me kids! That is a great idea–except when it is time to “GET IN THE CAR!”
Be Blessed.
