Join (Five Minute Friday)

Go:

Join–to be part of something. That is my definition. I’ve written so much lately on being part of a group and wanting, or needing really my own spot to feel like I belong.

We all need a place to be that fits where we are now.

But finding that spot can be difficult. My oldest just started Middle School and that is a huge step in finding your own spot.

If I’m continuing my search and he is at the beginning of his . . . it struck me that wanting to be a part of something never really goes away–but what changes is who we decide to join with.

Today I’m going raspberry picking with two women and a few kids–I was asked to “join” them and in a heartbeat I said yes–I admire and so much enjoy these two women. I’m so glad I have friends who ask me to join them–because I would never do it by myself.

So if you can and it fits in your life–be an asker! It could change someones life.

STOP:

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking. 2. Link back here and invite others to join in. 3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

I love it when people ask me to join in an activity I would never have thought of and, when asked, know that it is something I would enjoy. And joining in does give me the opportunity to experience something new.
